This week I heard a statistic that 57% of families that receive a notice of foreclose do absolutely nothing and just wait to be evicted from their home. If you act as soon as it appears that you might have trouble making your payments you can plot out a strategy to resolve the situation. In Colorado, we have foreclosure help available at 1-877-601-HOPE. This is a free service and provides you with a non-biased, third party advocate to help you. For many reasons, people are afraid to seek help. According to the "hotline", four out of five callers who meet face-to-face with a housing counselor reach a positive solution. Remember, the sooner you seek help, the more options will be available to you. If you have any other questions or concerns, please feel free to call me.
